AjaxXLS und die LittleLeague

Über AjaxWrite und AjaxSketch habe ich ja schon hier und hier berichtet. Heute erfahren wir über golem, das nun Excel dran glauben musste.
Unter www.ajaxxls.com kann man nun mit dem Excel Viewer (!) herumspielen.
Leider scheinen sich meine Befürchtungen zu bewahrheiten. Zitat golem: “AjaxXLS soll in OpenOffice und Excel erstellte Dateien öffnen können – verlangt jedoch immer das Excel-Dateiformat. Der Betrachter wollte im Test keine Datei öffnen, womit er derzeit nicht zu gebrauchen ist. ”
Vielleicht sollte das Ziel jede Woche eine Ajax-Office-Applikation zu launchen abgeändert werden und lieber einmal im Monat eine sauber lauffähige Versionen vorgestellt werden? Vielleicht hänge ich da auch noch zu sehr an klassischen Software Engineering Ansätzen? Ich fand (und finde) jedenfalls die Idee toll und AjaxWrite hat mich beeindruckt. AjaxSketch war OK, aber buggy. AjaxXLS ist nur ein Viewer und funktioniert auch noch nicht wirklich…Etwas mehr Zeit würde dem Projekt wohl gut tun.

btw. Erwähnenswert ist wirklich die nette Geschichte zum Thema, warum die Welt ein ExcelViewer braucht….
